Yes, you CAN make reservations online at these sites! The resaurants in the programs are few, but it's easy to find a place in your area. You should follow up with a confirmation call, but this service is likely to get popular rapidly. RestaurantRow features more than 100,000 restaurants and no credit card is needed. Foodline requires a credit card, OpenTable requires a membership.

MyCity.com
Lots of local info on any city. So much info it gets a bit thick! Organized in 'channels' like "The Visitor's Guide Channel"
CitySearch.com
Has a 'popup' window, but just close the window and start digging! Has a restaurant finder, visitors guide, city yellow pages, real estate, newsletters and even local singles!
DigitalCity.com
Very well laid out. Folder-like "tabs" for major areas, and boxed organizing for things like "Going Out" and "Getting Stuff Done". A great touch is the "top10 restaurant" list for the day.
